Flag Prototype

A common complaint amongst riders of recumbents and handcycles, which ride low to the ground, is lack of visibility.  Most of these bikes come with a standard, safety-orange pennant on the end of a six-foot pole.  Although it is better than having no flag, it isn't something that most motorists look for.  In response, we created a prototype relfective and illuminated flag that can't be overlooked.

The flagpole is visible from all angles, and has a mount for a blinking safety light.  It currently runs off of four AAA batteries, but our future models are going to have a rechargeable battery pack with a switch for continuous/blinking modes.
The illuminated wire runs around the perimeter of the flag, which is larger than the standard pennants that come stock with most low-riding bikes.  Our "Human Power" logo on the prototype is reflective chrome-silver.

In the future, our flags will be available in a variety of colors, and can be printed with customized logos in a variety of reflective colors.  We will also offer our customized flags on a standard, non-illuminated, flagpole for those who dare to be dull.

Standard safety flags say "I'm here."  Our flags say "I'm here...and I'm awesome."

Come in and have us design one for your lowrider!
